ME.

I'm Hafsteinn Þórðarson, an independent graphic designer and motion artist based in Reykjavík, Iceland. I work under the name Made by Hafsteinn, taking on identity, print and motion projects for clients who want their brand to feel deliberate — not decorated.

My work spans the full life of a mark: from the first sketch to a finished identity system, a race medal, a poster, or a piece of motion graphics built to hold up on a screen at any size. I care about clarity and restraint — a strong idea should survive being reduced to its simplest form.

Over the years I've worked across an advertising agency, internet companies, a newspaper and broadcasting — building experience in print, motion graphics and graphic design along the way. That work has included identity and campaign projects for major brands such as Freyja, Útilíf, Ölgerðin, Air Atlanta and Sjóvá.
